MDTP Math Tests

Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project

The MDTP tests are designed to measure student readiness for a broad range of mathematic courses. More importantly, the tests were developed to provide students and teachers with diagnostic information about student preparedness. The MDTP was formed as a joint project of the California State University and the University of California in 1977. The MDTP tests are offered to California and other Community Colleges at four levels; Each level has at least two forms.

  •         The Algebra Readiness Tests,
  •         The Elementary Algebra Tests
  •         The Intermediate Algebra Tests,
  •         and the Precalculus Tests.
